Testimonial from Jack Hirst:

“Can’t believe its been 3 years since we finished planting up Beth Dicken-Jones’s Wild Lea site. It was my first scheme funded by The Woodland Trust’s #GrowBackGreener scheme. It was and is a fantastic scheme that has been great to watch develop. Little saplings, that my dog Gylly assumed were sticks for her to play with, have now grown well over 6ft in just a few years. The little scrub compartments we put in our my favourite areas and it has been wonderful seeing them get so thick and bushy, full of bugs, berrys and birds!

One of the best parts of this job is working with wonderful landowners like Beth, and also being able to go back and see sites like this flourishing and doing what they were designed too, creating a hub for biodiversity.

Can’t wait to see this site again when its all back in leaf!”
